Yesterday we went on a field trip all day for my Old Testiment religion class. wow i would dominate at school if teachers could actually take us to the places where significant historical events occured, and teach us about it while standing on the exact place! well that is how we learn about the old testiment here! we went to Sameul the Prophet's burial place, the lookout over Bethlehem and the Olive tree orchard. We went to a Russian Orthodox church called Augusta Victoria tower which is in East Jerusalem, and the Church of the assention (where they believe Christ assended into heaven.) This church was beautiful! and huge! there is an Organ there and we got to play it and sing "all creatures of our God and King"! wow it was powerful! It was such an awesome field trip! and the first of many!

today in class we all had to say the classic "one thing unique about you" comment as we introduced ourselves to our Jewish teacher. Everyone is saying weird things they can do, or noises they can make (sidenote* Cameron, i might have found your soul mate here because she can do a Sheep impression that is PERFECT! so you and her can make sheep and goat calls together... how romantic) But anyways so it comes to one girl and this is what she says, "I absolutely love animals, and this summer I decided to put on a dog show for obese dogs so they wouldn't be left out and could feel special too."

I apologize for the goose egg on your head right now because you most likely just fell out of your chair laughing. ok and yes she was DEAD serious! she is a vegan, saved a fly that was drowning in Amy's drink yesterday, and got a beatle off my shirt just as i was about to smash it, so she could release him outside... oh and tonight a few girls are getting together so she can read our energy and lead us in an aromatherapy session. I love Jerusalem!
