Sunday's at my house are always an adventure.
Not because of the games we play, the naps we take, or even the fabulous pedicures my sister and I give each other.
but because of things like this:

These are Quail eggs that my uncle found out in our backyard and because he and the men in my family all have some obsession with Bear Grillz that is slightly greater than a minor obsession, they decided to cook them and eat them.
Last Sunday our poor chickens got murdered by a Mink or a Raccoon, and do you want to guess what I found in the freezer yesterday while innocently searching for a popsicle to cool me off on a warm day?
2 frozen chickens... LITERAL chickens. feathers, feet and all.
It is hard to see animals you feed, named and slightly cared for...
headless and abandoned, frozen in your freezer.
My dad's motto: nothing should ever be wasted.
cut off the mold
cook out the smell
mix it or blend it with something else
but throw it away? how dare you.
Last summer my lovely dog who is sweet and lovable on the outside, but a murderer hunting dog at heart, killed and proudly brought us 4 or 5 rabbits. She even lined them up perfectly presentable with her tongue hanging out and something closely resembling a smile on her face.
The next day (Sunday) we sit down for family dinner and what is on the menu?
Rabbit Soup.
I wish i were joking people, i wish i were joking.
This past week my dog jumped in the river and chased after an entire family of ducks.
Mother, Father, and 3 babies
and one by one plucked them out of the river and put an end to their blissful river dwelling family life.
every
single
member
of their
family.
Anyone want to come over for Sunday dinner next week???
