you ready for this story:
*names have been changed to protect my friends from total embarrassment
My friend's sister, Juno, baked a cake and set it on her counter the other day. Her mom came in and saw that the cake had not been frosted yet, so she kindly offered to frost it for her. Juno left the house for a little while, and when she returned, her cake was beautifully frosted sitting on the counter. She got a fork and took a slice and as she bit into it she exclaimed, "Mom! this frosting is unbelievable! what's in it? it is so good!" her mother, Martha, replied, "it is a secret ingredient i can't tell you." Juno now of course HAD to know. She begged her mom to tell her, "let me just guess" she said. "is it extra sugar? buttermilk? cream cheese or sour cream? just tell me." Martha replied, "ok i will tell you, but don't tell anyone else...
"I used some of your sister's left over breast milk that had gone sour in the refrigerator."
did you just vomit?
I almost laughed my head off,
after my gag reflux stopped going off of course.
good Gandhi woman
Also: I had the pleasure of being present when my other good friend made this comment...
stranger: "my family is driving here from Alaska. i am so excited."
My friend: "Alaska?! wow. are they going to have to take a fairy? is there a fairy boat that will take their car?"
awkward silence... stranger and I eye each other confused.
"um... what? Alaska is not an island?"

ReplyDeleteP.S. Don't think i'm weird for always commenting on your posts, I just always have something to say.
P.P.S It's spelled "ferry" not "fairy". Love you!
Oh that is too gross! I mean it wasn't even fresh breast milk - it was SOUR breast milk! I can't even begin to think why her mom would even CONSIDER putting that in the frosting. It kind of gives me the heebie jeebies.
ReplyDeleteMartha? Juno? Those are the first two substitute names that popped into your head? hahaha. I died when I heard this story.
